Organization

Organization of Student Groups for the IPS Challenge

Group Formation

Students from both Universidad de Chile and Heilbronn should form a group of two, ideally combining individuals from different backgrounds (e.g., an engineer and a health professional). This interdisciplinary approach will enhance collaboration and bring diverse perspectives to the projects. Groups from Heilbronn and Universidad de Chile will be connected based on their chosen use cases. Groups working on the same use case will collaborate across universities.

Project Type

Groups can choose to present either a conceptual project (e.g., a proposed solution or process) or a hands-on project (e.g., a technical implementation or prototype), depending on the skills and capabilities of the group members. The project should demonstrate an understanding of the use case and propose a solution or analysis relevant to the challenge.

Project Deliverables

The final project should be presented in the form of a poster. The poster must include the following sections using relevant diagrams, charts, or images to support the project:

  1. Title: A brief, descriptive title that clearly indicates the topic and focus of the project.
  2. Authors: Names and affiliations of the group members (both Universidad de Chile and Heilbronn).
  3. Use Case: Brief description of the chosen use case.
  4. Problem Statement: Concise explanation of the problem being addressed
  5. Proposed Solution: Overview of the conceptual or hands-on solution.
  6. Methods/Approach: Brief description of the approach or methods used (if applicable).
  7. Results/Expected Outcomes: For hands-on projects, include actual results; for conceptual projects, describe expected outcomes.
  8. Discussion: Reflection on the results and their potential implications or limitations.
  9. Future Work: Ideas for further development or expansion of the project References: If applicable, list key references used in the project.
